“I’d much rather be enjoying my season pass to Adventureland with my kid. But if the good people don’t do something, the bad people win. That’s how you make things better,” Narcisse admitted.
“It’s a big state,” he continued. “But the experience of doing 99 counties in the past has prepared me to do it efficiently and effectively. I enjoy getting out. Iowans are amazing poeple. Unfortunately the leadership the last 30 years has not been. In the 1980s, Gov. Branstad and Jack Hatch became fixtures in the state house.”
It’s those facts that give him confidence, despite the overwhelming odds against a third-party candidate winning the Iowa administrator’s seat.
“Iowans will vote for me if they feel I can best represent them and think I have a chance to win. Among the average Iowans, I think my race and color has nothing to do with it. If they don’t like where I stand, they won’t vote for me.”
